New behavioral science research has become available to improve the Results vs. Relationships scoring in the Work Talent Reports. We have followed our published policy for updates to the insights on the reports, web screens, and the API to make this new method available to the DNA community.

Who this impacts:

  • Participants who have previously received a Work Talents Report or visited the dashboard of the Work Talents Experience have received a Results vs. Relationships score. This score may have changed with this update to the methodology.
  • Partners that leverage the BDNA 5 Scores API call

How this affects you / Actions to take:

For participants:

If you have previously received a Work Talents Report or visited the dashboard of the Work Talents Experience, you have received a Results vs. Relationships score. With the latest methodology, this score may have changed.  To see your updated score, log into your account and revisit the dashboard and view your report to see your latest results and relationships score.

For administrators:

No direct action is required. DNA insights update from time to time; when we do this, all reports (historically generated and generated in the future) are updated with our latest algorithm.

For API users and Partners:

To minimize the impact of changes on your business, our policy is to add new calls to our API library when insights are changed or updated, and maintain prior versions to allow our partners time to upgrade.  There is now a Version 2 GET call for this insight in the DNA API:  Review the old version (Version 1) of this endpoint here.

In addition, in the past, there were no scores below 50 that would appear on the Work Talents Report and there were instructions for API users to reverse all scores below 50 in the API to match the report.  With this update, that is no longer the case for the Results vs Relationship metric, however, the other 4 scores remain unchanged, and you will need to continue to reverse these scores (100-score for below 50).

You can access the new API endpoint and receive additional details here.
